The Ozobots are now part of the Makerspace!
In November, Brookfield was selected to be a part of the Asha-Jyothi 2019 Innovation Lab/Maker Space grant. Asha-Jyothi is a volunteer-based non-profit focused on providing access to education and healthcare. With the very generous $1800 award, we were able to expand our Makerspace. We purchased a set of Ozobots. These small, spherical robots allow students to practice the basics of coding.
In January, the Brookfield Makerspace introduced the Ozobots. Students learn to code the robots by drawing paths on grid paper for the robot to follow. They can change the paths by using combinations of four different colors for the robots to “read.” Please take a look at some of our students as they explore this fantastic STEM activity.
